How do I record my charades game?

Before starting a game, toggle the "Record Game" switch on the menu screen. Make sure to grant camera and microphone permissions when prompted. During gameplay, the app will automatically record your performance and add subtitles showing which words you acted out.

How do I control the game without touching the screen?

CharadesCam uses your phone's accelerometer for hands-free control:

• Tilt up: Mark the word as correct and move to the next one
• Tilt down: Skip the current word

This way, you can keep acting without interrupting the flow!

Where are my videos saved?

Videos are saved to your device's photo library/gallery when you tap "Save to Gallery" on the results screen. You can then find them in your Photos app (iOS) or Gallery app (Android) along with your other videos.

Can I customize the game duration?

Yes! On the menu screen, use the timer slider to set your preferred game duration anywhere from 15 seconds to 5 minutes. Perfect for quick rounds or longer gameplay sessions!

How do I choose different word themes?

Tap "Select Themes" on the menu screen to browse and select from various themed word decks including Animals, Sports, Food, Technology, Historical Events, and more. You can select multiple themes for variety!

The app is asking for camera permissions. Is it safe?

Absolutely! CharadesCam only uses your camera and microphone to record gameplay when you enable the recording feature. All videos stay on your device - we never upload them to our servers or access your content. Check our Privacy Policy for more details.

Can I play without recording?

Yes! Recording is completely optional. Simply turn off the "Record Game" toggle before starting, and you can play charades without any video recording.

The tilt controls aren't working. What should I do?

Make sure your device's screen rotation is enabled and motion sensors are working. Try these steps:

• Check that rotation lock is OFF in your device settings
• Restart the app
• Make sure you're tilting the phone clearly up or down (not just slightly)
• Try calibrating by holding the phone in landscape mode when starting the game

How do I share videos with friends?

After a game ends, you'll see the results screen with your video. Tap "Share Video" to open your device's share menu, where you can send it via messaging apps, social media, email, or any other sharing method available on your device.

Is CharadesCam free?

CharadesCam is free to download and includes basic gameplay features with no ads! Premium features are available as a one-time purchase and include access to all theme packs, watermark-free video recording, and extended gameplay time up to 5 minutes.

What do I get with the premium version?

Premium features include:

• All theme packs: Access to all current and future themed word collections
• No watermark: Record and share videos without any watermarks
• Extended play time: Play for up to 5 minutes per round (vs. 2 minute in free version)

This is a one-time purchase with no subscriptions or recurring charges!

How do I restore my premium purchase on a new device?

If you've purchased premium and want to use it on another device:

• Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android)
• Open CharadesCam and tap the "Restore Purchases" button in the settings or purchase screen
• Your premium features will be automatically restored

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To request a refund:

• iOS users: Visit Apple Support or request through your Apple ID account
• Android users: Visit the Google Play Store app, go to your purchase history, and request a refund
